Resources Launch Gallery
On 25th November at the War Memorial in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa, Te Tira Whakaari launched three resources to schools in Tūranganui a Kiwa. The three resources are focused on one critical event in the life of Te Kooti Rikirangi and the people of Tūranga, that is, his return from exile on Wharekauri (Chatham Islands) to Whareongaonga. We were fortunate to be joined by ākonga and whānau from different kura in Tūranga who came to support the kaupapa and celebrate the story of our tipuna.
